She is a senior at Grangeville High School and has recently earned her CNA license. She has been in 4H for 6 years taking horse, pig, making the most of me, and scrapbooking. She has taken tap dance since the age of 3 with Shirley’s Dance Studio and will be performing her Senior Spotlight this spring. She is a shotgun leader in Grangeville Triple Bar Drill team and also served as their queen in 2014. She also represented the Riggins Rodeo as Queen in 2015, the Whitebird rodeo Queen in 2016 and as princess for Grangeville Border Days in 2018.

Bella is currently a CNA at Grangeville Health and Rehab and really enjoys taking care of the older generation. She plans to pursue a career in nursing.

She is super excited about the upcoming year and all it has to offer. She takes great pride in the amazing opportunity and can’t wait to spread her love for rodeo. She hopes to be the best role model for the future generation of cowboys and cowgirls, and let them know that if you work hard enough your dreams can come true. She looks forward to meeting new faces alongside her faithful pony Barbie. Barbie is 9 years old and has been with her through all her experiences thus far. She is thrilled to be working beside princess Amiee and Lyvia and getting to experience all of this with such amazing young women. She’d like to thank her chaperones Derek, Tracie and Lane for their guidance and dedication as well as Rollie and Drew for bring the best royalty advisors anyone could ask for. It is truly an amazing feeling to be part of this family.

She’d like to say thank you to her Mom, Nana, Papa, and Aunt Kami for helping her achieve her dreams and their undying support. And finally the board of directors for all their hard work, dedication, and support of the Roundup royalty.

She’s ready to spread “She’s Wild!” every place she goes and to everyone she meets and make this rodeo proud to have given her such an amazing job.

Lyvia is ecstatic to spend her reign on her beloved gelding Colorado whom she has owned for about 2 years. She is deeply honored by the opportunity to represent the Lewiston Roundup traditions and western way of life she loves so much a long side her court and chaperones. She hopes to inspire others to never give up on their dreams especially when the road gets rough. 2019 Grand Marshall - Clyde Longfellow

The Lewiston Roundup Board would like to Officially Announce the 2019 Grand Marshal Clyde Longfellow
see more...
Clyde was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho. Born in 1942 to a career Air Force man (Clyde Sr) and Lewiston-bred mom (Sybil). He was the 4th of 5 children and the only boy. From an early age, Bud decided he wanted to be a cowboy. As soon as he could, he started working out at the Old Lewiston Round Up Grounds in North Lewiston. Cleaning stalls, walking hots, whatever it took to get to ride someone’s horse! Before long, he was an exercise boy for some of the racehorses kept there. He met Idaho rodeo legends such as Clint Roberts and Jack Carson, both became mentors to his rodeo dreams. He started getting on broncs and riding colts. While there he met Edie Gottschalk, she boarded her horse at the Round Up Grounds. They married in 1965, and moved out to the Imnaha country to work on the ranch of Shirly Bothum (bronze artist). At one point, Shirly told Clyde that he had to decide – either he was going to work, or he was going to rodeo. He couldn’t do both. So Clyde quit his job and headed to Cheyenne! He won the Cheyenne Frontier Days amateur saddle bronc in 1965! No looking back now!!
Clyde & Edie spent most of the first years of their marriage on the Rodeo Trail. Heading to the indoor winter rodeos, then coming back to the Northwest and Canada for the summer run. Daughter, Crystal, was born in 1967, and the family lived on the road in a travel trailer most of the year. In 1972, the family moved to Kendrick, ID, and in 1973, welcomed another daughter, Kelly. Clyde was still rodeoing, but more at the circuit level. He now had a full family and house payments! He started driving truck for Star Motor Freight.
Clyde continued rodeoing and winning, earning several trips to the Columbia River Circuit Finals. As the kids grew, they started entering jr rodeos and high school rodeos. In about 1985, Clyde decided to stop entering and just concentrate on working. He had his own truck and was making a good living with Haul Ass Trucking. Almost too busy to rodeo!
Well, by 1990, Clyde was entering rodeos again! He was still craving it! Not only was he entering, but he was winning against the younger set of bronc riders. He earned several more trips to the Columbia River Circuit Finals. Clyde & Edie moved to Hermiston, OR in 1993. In 1995, his first grandson was born! And he was still riding and winning. In 1998, Clyde won the saddle bronc riding at Colville, WA, and took Rylen on the victory lap!
Clyde had been entering a few Senior Pro Rodeos on the side. He qualified for the Senior Pro Finals in 1998, winning 2nd in the World! He came home with plans to win the Senior World in 1999. Those plans came to an abrupt stop the next day. He had a load of cattle on, headed to Nampa, ID. He was hit head-on by another semitruck, totaling his dream truck, injuring and killing several head of cattle, and severely injuring him. He was forcibly retired from riding broncs and truck driving.
After many months of recovery, Clyde was able to start golfing to work his back and keep it flexible. He eventually started riding saddle horses again. He even bought a sailboat and sailed it from San Diego to Portland! He still sails, golfs, and rides, but no more buckers!
Lewiston is still HOME to Clyde – there are two rodeos he never misses: the Lewiston Round Up and the Pendleton Round Up!
